2023-2024 District Budget Wins: $3.5 Million

  • $1 Million: To serve the immigrant community with education, outreach, and social justice efforts, this $1 million allocation will help build a permanent home for non-profit food distribution, immigration classes, workshops, and services.
  • $500,000: Adelanto City Hall was built in 1976, and has seen no updates since. This award of $500,000 is to cover onetime costs to improve lighting, stabilizing the member seating platform, and new paint, bringing the chambers to modern times in order to better serve the Adelanto community.
  • $1 Million: The Inland Equity Community Land Trust will receive $1 million to achieve “Plan Adelanto.” This plan aims to build 8 units of 1,100 square foot homes in a property near Adelanto High School, with the goal of affordable homeownership for low-income families.
  • $260,000: To provide outdoor spaces for members of the community, the state has awarded the City of Palmdale with $260,000. This will fund shade structures, park furniture, and exercise equipment for a pocket park within the City of Palmdale.
  • $240,000: The High Desert Keepers are a non-profit organization dedicated to combatting illegal dumping in the desert. This allocation will fund the purchase of land & equipment and the development of a facility so that the Desert Keepers can initiate and operate a tire bounty program.
  • $500,000: North Adelanto hosts no outdoor, family-friendly spaces for play or recreation. To address this disparity, the City of Adelanto has been allocated $500,000 to finish a neighborhood park in this disadvantaged part of the community.
